Why do you think Kit was disappointed with her first view of America?
I was trying to imagine how it might have been to grow up around the beautiful blue sea and colorful landscape, and then have your 'new life' begin in a place that seemed so bleak and dull. The homes looked much like boxes sitting beside one another. I bet Kit was sad having to leave her old memories of her grandfather behind and get to know the relatives that have always been distant.

I think that she was scared since she was dressed differently than other people.
I think because how she was dressed, like brandon said, but also because she probably expected something besides the box houses and what was also there.

i think that kit's family was suprised when she just showed up at their house!

Kits Uncle was very surprised that she just showed up there.
She is useto be arond water and it is dull and boring
i think that she was not very happy because she just had to leave her on little world that she had known all her life and now has to restart all over again.

I think she was dissapointed because she thought it was a buetiful place and when she got there she was dissapointed that she was much more high class than many people there and she did not fit in.
I think she was uncomfurtable because she dressed different.

I think what Ingrid and Brandon said. I have two questions which is why do they want a cousin so badly? Also why doesn't her uncle or whoever (I forgot who) want Kit to give the girl her dress?

I think that Kit was dissapointed when she saw America is because it looked so dull and bleak.
She was not eager to greet the new colony becase she her clothes were different.
I would feel bad if someone told me that I was to stupid to go to school so, I wonder if the little girl felt bad when the woman told her she was to stupid for school.
I wonder how hard it is for Kit to make new friends in such a different place? How in the world did she get used to so many new things?
I wonder why this book is called The witch of blackbird pond? What witch? It is Kit when everyone was suprised to see her swimming and reading?
I wonder if kit would rather go home? Is she having more fun with her new friends than her old life back in Barbados?

She did not expect to see what she saw because it was so different from what she came from.
Kit was disappointed cause she thought it would be so wonderful but it said it was a gloom place and the houses look alike and they looked like boxes with roofs.
Because she was nervous.
She is used to beautiful landscape, and in america it is dull and no exotic things.
Because it was boring and the other people in America dressed and acted different than she did.
because everyone was not like the people Kit is used to.
Kit had expected to see a nice neat town and it was less than she expected. She did not have the same clothes as the others and she felt out of place and different.
